The beauty of simple design is the way it focuses attention onto the workmanship, and this bell-shaped Eldridge pendant light from Hudson Valley Lighting is beautifully crafted from the rose through each link of the chain and knurled screws of the steel bracket, right down to the open bottom of its opal glass shade.

The geometry of the Eldridge has an almost scientific precision. Although it takes a single bulb it casts a bright downward light and warm diffuse illumination in all horizontal directions. A similar design is available in a conical flask-like shape and both are available in a choice of three finishes.
