Trade Customer Requirements

To open an Olivia's Trade account you must be a registered business.

Olivia's Trade accounts are not suitable for retailers wishing to purchase items for resale.

Once you have opened an account, you are registered with us as a business customer and Business Terms and Conditions of sale apply to all transactions between you and us.

By purchasing any products through Olivia's Trade and benefitting from trade discounts, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to be bound by and comply with the Business Terms and Conditions.

Delivery Information

Our standard free delivery service is ground floor drop off and applies to England, Wales and some parts of Scotland. Location surcharges may apply.

We do have several premium delivery options available if our standard option is not suitable for your project.

Please notify us of any delivery requirements as soon as possible so we can add any surcharges or optional extras to your quote.

checking & reporting damages

Upon delivery, please make sure to check your items carefully before you sign for them, unpack them or use them. We always recommend that you keep your packaging, receipt and order confirmation email as this will be needed for proof of purchase in the event of any after-sales enquiries or returns. 

If the goods are damaged please notify us within 48 hours of delivery so that we can resolve the problem.

If you plan to put your items into storage, please ensure you have checked your items thoroughly before you do so. All items are stored at your own risk.

Please note, once you have received and signed for your delivery, the items you ordered will become your property, provided they have been paid for in full. We cannot accept any liability for the loss, damage or destruction of the items after they have been delivered unless they were reported damaged or faulty when delivered or they were delivered incorrectly.

For items that require assembly, prior to installing, it is important that you check all instructions and parts lists to make sure that you have all the necessary parts and information to assemble and fit the product in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions before you assemble the product. We are not able to issue refunds for any items that have been incorrectly fitted/assembled or damaged during the assembly process. 

Faulty Items

If your item is faulty or develops a fault (please be aware that a fault is a manufacturing defect or if the item is not fit for its intended purpose) then please notify us as soon as possible.

Please send a detailed description of the fault and provide multiple supporting images that clearly show the issue. We will then liaise with the manufacturer or supplier to get you a resolution as soon as possible. 

We may choose to send a furniture repair specialist to assess and repair your item. If this is not possible we will work with our manufacturers and attempt to arrange for a collection of the faulty product and a replacement item. 

Cancellations & Change of Mind Returns

Cancellations

As a trade customer, there is no right of cancellation, refund or return once we have accepted your offer to buy the goods or service, unless, under the law of contract, you have a legal right to cancel and you are cancelling it for that expressed reason.

Returns

Change of mind returns are reviewed on a case by case basis and are subject to a restocking fee if approved. All change of mind returns are to be reported within 7 days of delivery.

Made-to-Order, Custom, Bespoke & Specially Ordered Items

Due to the unique nature of custom, bespoke and made-to-order items, we are unable to accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations for these products.

This policy also applies to items ordered especially for trade customers that are not part of Olivia's regular retail range.

Standard Online Retail Returns

Purchases that do not benefit from trade discounts fall under our standard online retail returns policy, please refer to the Returns Policy for more information.

Trade Terms & Conditions

Olivia's Trade Terms & Conditions

1. Definitions

- "We," "us," "our" refers to Olivia’s Trade.

- "You" and "your" refer to the business or trade customer using our services.

2. Acceptance of Terms

- By placing an order with us using a trade discount, you agree to these trade-specific terms and conditions. 

- These terms and conditions may be updated from time to time, and the most recent version will apply to your orders. 

- It is expressly understood that neither the Buyer nor the Seller are consumers, as defined by the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977.

3. Orders

- All orders placed through our website or through an account manager are subject to acceptance by us.

- We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders at our discretion.

- The prices and availability of products are subject to change without notice.

4. Payment

- Payment terms will be provided upon order confirmation.

- You agree to pay the agreed-upon prices for the products and any applicable taxes and shipping fees.

5. Delivery

- Delivery times and methods are specified on our product pages, discussed at quote stage and confirmed at the point of order. Delivery times and methods are subject to change. 

- Risk of loss or damage to products passes to you upon delivery.

- You are responsible for inspecting and reporting any damage or discrepancies within 48 hours of receipt of goods.

6. Returns, Refunds and Cancellations

- We may accept returns of faulty or damaged goods in accordance with our Returns Policy, which will be provided to you upon opening an Olivia’s Trade account. This can also be found on our website. 

- Made-to-order, bespoke or personalised products are not eligible for return or cancellation. 

- You are responsible for the cost of returning products unless otherwise agreed upon.

7. Liability

- Our liability for any damages or losses is limited to the purchase price of the products.

- We are not liable for any consequential, indirect, or special damages.

8. Intellectual Property

- All intellectual property rights, including trademarks and copyrights, related to our products and website, are owned by us.

9. Data Protection

- We will collect and process your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Termination

- We reserve the right to terminate our business relationship with you at our discretion.

- You may terminate your account with us by following the procedures outlined in our Terms.

11. Governing Law

- These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

12. Severability

- If any part of these terms and conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, it will not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions.
