The desk has undergone many incarnations over the centuries. At its most ornate in the 19th Century, it became a thing of modern beauty in the Art Deco era but has turned steadily more functional ever since.
The Greyshott overturns that expectation with a design that is both minimalist and feature-heavy. A true original, it boasts a desktop and twin drawers crafted in a plain, shallow box shape but finished in startling faux-crocodile.
This structure perches on vanishingly slender legs with the tiniest of footprints. The gold finish of the legs is cleverly picked up in the accent of its discreet drawer handles.
