An Evening of Design: Olivia’s x Liang & Eimil
An evening of inspiring conversations, beautiful interiors and bringing the design community together.
On Thursday 8th October, we had the pleasure of hosting An Evening of Design in collaboration with Liang & Eimil, welcoming some of our wonderful trade clients and industry professionals for an exclusive evening at their beautiful Shoreditch showroom in the heart of London.
From interior designers and architects to property developers and creatives, the evening brought together people from across the interiors industry to share ideas, make connections and celebrate a mutual love for great design.
And what an evening it was!
A Beautiful Setting for an Evening of Design
Set within the stunning Liang & Eimil showroom, guests were welcomed with a glass coupe of champagne and the opportunity to explore a carefully curated collection of furniture, lighting and accessories.
With drinks flowing, beautifully presented grazing boards and plenty of conversation, the evening offered a chance to step away from the usual working day and enjoy everything we love about the interiors industry.
It was also a particularly special opportunity for our Olivia's Trade team to spend time with the clients they work so closely with throughout the year. Meeting face-to-face, catching up on current projects and putting faces to familiar names made the evening all the more memorable.
Conversations That Inspire
One of the highlights of the evening was our exclusive industry panel discussion, which brought together three brilliant voices from different corners of the design world.
Following a warm welcome from Honghui Liang of Liang & Eimil, guests settled in for an insightful conversation with Elliott Green, Founder of Molecule Designs; Rupinder Gohil, Buying & Procurement Director at Accouter Group of Companies; and Harriet Castle, Head of Buying at Olivia's.
With each speaker bringing their own perspective and experience, the discussion explored everything from emerging interior trends and changing customer preferences to the growing influence of artificial intelligence within the design industry.
One particularly interesting topic was the balance between following trends and creating spaces that feel personal and timeless. With customer tastes constantly evolving, how do designers and buyers anticipate what people will want next, while still making choices that stand the test of time?
The panel also offered a fascinating look behind the scenes of the industry, from sourcing and procurement to the decisions that shape the furniture and collections we see in our homes.
For us at Olivia's, it was especially lovely to have Elliott join the conversation. Through our ongoing relationship with Molecule Designs, we regularly help source furniture for his projects, making it a wonderful opportunity to share insights from both sides of the design process.
With plenty of thoughtful questions and different perspectives shared, the discussion was a reminder of just how much there is to learn when creative minds come together.
Good Company, Champagne & Thoughtful Details
Of course, no Olivia's evening would be complete without a few beautiful finishing touches.
Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed champagne served in elegant coupe glasses, alongside a selection of luxury cheese and grazing boards, all adding to the relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere.
We also wanted everyone to take a little piece of the evening home with them.
Each guest received an exclusive An Evening of Design goodie bag, featuring a specially created Olivia's x Liang & Eimil candle in Rose Noir, the signature scent chosen for the evening. Alongside this was a bespoke An Evening of Design cookie and a Liang & Eimil brochure, a little reminder of a lovely evening spent together.
From the florals and finishing touches to the smallest details, everything was thoughtfully brought together to make the evening feel special.
Bringing Our Design Community Together
Beyond the beautiful setting and inspiring panel, what made the evening so memorable was the people who joined us.
At Olivia's, our relationships with our trade clients are such an important part of what we do. We have the pleasure of working with talented interior designers, architects, developers and industry professionals on projects of all shapes and sizes, so creating an opportunity to bring everyone together felt incredibly special.
It was wonderful to see new connections being made, ideas being exchanged and conversations continuing long after the panel had finished.
Events like these remind us that great design is about so much more than beautiful furniture. It's about creativity, collaboration and the people who bring spaces to life.
