An Interview with Interior Designer Emma Brindley

An Interview with Interior Designer Emma Brindley

Here at Olivia’s we have a strong team of creatives, all working together to deliver the best quality high fashion homeware products and interior design inspiration.

This week we sat down with award winning Interior Designer and our Head of Product and Design at Olivia's, Emma Brindley.

Emma is a multi-award winning Interior Designer, with many years of experience designing for high end residential properties and creating some of the top recognised UK show home designs.

We wanted to find out more about her journey and how her passion for interiors began and find out all about this year’s trends to look out for.

After studying Interior design at university and learning her trade, Emma set up and ran a successful Interior Design Agency for five years, specialising in high end interiors for a select client base. When the opportunity to lead the future brand and design of show homes for a leading house builder presented itself, it was too good to turn down.

Emma spent 7 years as Head of Interiors, a position that was the first of it’s kind in the sector. There she created multi-award winning Show Home interiors and marketing suites which focused on the customer and inspiring them. She has written content for Rightmove on interior trends as well as other interior publications.

Emma is now heading up Olivia’s product and design to bring that same award winning design style to our customers.

On working for Olivia’s Emma commented ‘‘Working at Olivia's allows me to really focus on my love for interiors; mixing and curating brands for customers. I get to explore the latest products coming to market and choose what we sell on site!’

With so much interior styles and products we thought we would ask Emma what her own personal style is and where she gets her influence from.

‘I would class my personal style is very paired back, Scandi with an industrial feel. If I had to design my own house it would be very modern, very geometric, with straight lines. A combination of interesting woods and concrete, very natural elements.’

‘My personal style has definitely evolved and will continue to do so. But I still have my favourite colours and certain key furniture designs; But it’s like your clothes and cars, you outgrow things, better things come on the market.’
